BIG FREEDIA BROKE THE GUINNESS TWERKING RECORD TODAY IN NYC

It’s not every Wednesday afternoon that you get to witness monumental moments in history, but today was certainly a special one. Earlier today, I made my way up to Herald Square to partake in the Guinness World Record attempt of most simultaneous twerkers. The Twerkathon was of course organized by the pioneering New Orleans bounce queen, Big Freedia, aka Queen Diva along with her ass-shaking sidekicks. For two minutes, Guinness Records officials paced through a crowd of 350-plus diverse popping butts. Everyone from grandmas to construction workers participated, and in the end, it was all a success.
