BFE does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties in a manner that is inconsistent with the policies stated herein. As described in this policy, BFE may combine this information with data that is publicly available and data that BFE receives from other sources, including those whose products and services are used to operate this website, the Big Freedia Merchandise Store hosted and managed by Shopify, and related site features.
This policy describes the personal information BFE collects about you, why BFE collects it, how BFE uses it and when BFE shares it with third parties. Further, this policy describes the choices you can make about how BFE collects and use your information. Please note that this policy may be amended, supplemented, or otherwise revised at any time, without prior notice to you. If our information practices change in the future, BFE will post an updated policy on our website. Information BFE Collects
BFE may collect and maintain information your share and/or provide while using the website (including your name, postal addresses, billing address, telephone number, email address and, when necessary, credit card information, login data).
Using Information BFE Collects
BFE always wants to provide you with the best possible shopping experience and fulfill your orders exactly as you’ve requested. In order to do this, BFE may collect information that allows BFE to process and track your orders, provide the products and services you request, contact you about the status of an order, send you promotional mailers, send you email, identify your product and service preferences, customize our communications to you, provide information concerning products you have purchased, and/or improve our merchandise selection and customer service.
BFE may also use your information to provide you with various ways to connect and share content (e.g., web content, user generated videos, text, drawings, screen captures, media, tools, services and other products) with third parties. BFE may also allow you to share links to content with users of various third party services (e.g., social networking, search and sharing services). When sharing links using one of these third party services, if you are not already logged in to the third party service, you will need to supply login credentials for it. If you are not a registered user of the third party service, you will need to sign up for it. You are supplying the registration information or login credentials for the third party service directly to that third party, and not to BFE. By using any of these third party services to share links to content, you permit BFE to access, use and disclose any information relating to your account on each such third party service (such as your user name and profile information) that is available to BFE through the third party service, including through its application programming interface (API) pursuant to this policy.
How BFE Uses Email
When you provide BFE your email address, BFE may send you emails to confirm your registration, process an order, respond to a request, provide customer service, or promote products, services, contests, sweepstakes, and related matters. Recipients of products and services will receive an email containing the goods or services purchased for them, or notifying them of the goods or services purchased for them.
Information BFE Shares with Others and Your Privacy Rights
Use of this website may require interfacing with other websites, software, platforms, systems, and processes. BFE may share information about you with other such websites, software, platforms, systems, and processes in order to improve your experience on the website. BFE does not, however, sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
BFE also contracts with service providers to maintain and manage our customer information, including credit card processing, shipping, name and address verification, email distribution, market research and promotions management. BFE provides these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. BFE does not authorize any of these service providers to make any other use of your information. In addition, when BFE partners with another company to offer or provide products, services, contests or promotions, BFE may compare its customer list with theirs to identify our common customers. BFE its affiliates and its marketing partners may use that information to fulfill our respective obligations to you and for future promotional activities.
When BFE offers contests and promotions, with or without a marketing partner, you may be required to provide certain personal information in order to participate. In these cases, BFE will give you the choice not to receive promotional email messages or other communications from us regarding BFE products, services, contests, and promotions. In this case, however, BFE or one of its affiliates may still need to contact you, for example, to notify winners and to fulfill promotional obligations. In the unlikely event of a sale of some or all of BFE’s business, BFE will disclose your personal information to a purchaser that agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of this privacy policy.
BFE reserves the right to disclose information about you as required by law, in response to legal process and law enforcement requests, and as necessary to protect the property, interests and rights of BFE its affiliates, and others.
Your Choices About Receiving Promotional Communications
BFE wants to communicate with you only if you want to hear from it. If you would like to have your name and address removed from receiving promotional mailers through the US Postal Service, email or otherwise, please contact BFE by emailing info@bigfreedia.com.

Security of Your Information
BFE’s merchandise store through Shopify is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. What is PCI DSS Compliance? The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an information security standard for organizations that handle credit card and debit card information. Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around credit card data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure. If you want to sell online and accept payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards, your software and hosting needs to be PCI compliant. There are six categories of PCI standards that must be met in order for a merchant to be deemed compliant: Maintain a Secure Network; Protect Cardholder Data; Maintain a Vulnerability Management Program; Implement Strong Access Control Measures; Regularly Monitor and Test Networks; and Maintain an Information Security Policy. This compliance extends to all online stores powered by Shopify, including BFE’s merchandise store.
Privacy of Children
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and imposes certain requirements on websites directed toward children under 13 that collect information on those children, or on websites that know they are collecting information on children under the age of 13. It is BFE’s policy not to collect personal information on any person known to be under age 13.

That notice will identify the categories of information shared and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses. If you are a California resident and would like a copy of this notice, please submit a request to info@bigfreedia.com.
